Precise and repeatable camera moves are frequently requested by our clients. Precision and consistency are the strengths of the cable cam system, making it the ideal tool for these situations. The cable cam can crawl as slowly as half an inch per second or fly down the line as quickly as 40 mph, depending on what your shot requires.
Our cable cam is equipped with Motion Control. This allows us to set in and out points for the cable cam to travel within. This adds another layer of safety and protection for our cable cam and camera gimbal systems.
Strength & Endurance
As you should know by now, we strive to provide our clients, the best. Using the strongest cable to run our cable cam provides our team, along with you as the client the assurance and peace of mind.
We use 8mm Dyneema. This is a synthetic cable that has a strength of 12,000 lbs. Our cable cam requires only 1,500 lbs of cable strength at max load, meaning we keep a huge safety buffer.

Our cable cam is powered by a 6S 22.2 volt LiPo battery. This allows us to carry up to a 60 pound camera package at speeds up to 40 mph. The cable cam’s DC motor is equipped with a 50 amp ESC (electronic speed controller). Over time, this can create heat. With our built-in 24V cooling fan, our cable cam system stays cool and runs efficiently.
