We shot in two different states, Ohio and Tennessee. Back in July 2018, my team and I headed up to Fort Loramie, OH to operate our cable cam and heavy lifter drones at the Country Concert. There were tens of thousands of country fans who came from all over the country to listen to some of their favorite country music artists. Naturally, Luke Combs was one of them.
He had an hour set, and during this time we focused on capturing cinematic shots of him on stage with our Flyline cable cam. Shooting in this type of environment always has it’s challenges, but with proper planning and setups, we captured what we needed. Once cable cam was wrapped, we moved to our heavy lifter drones. We fly our Freefly Alta 8’s, to carry cinema packages. On this shoot, we carried TA Films’, Alexa Mini camera package with Canon Cine Primes. We got to capture a sweet sunset with a sea of people. Epic footage!
Once we wrapped in Ohio, my team and I headed down to Nashville, TN. There were three vehicles we needed to shoot from the air. A Dodge Neon, a Sprinter van and Luke’s tour bus. We set out onto the country roads, found a nice stretch of road, and captured the shots we needed. We then wrapped the day up with some epic city scape shots of downtown Nashville.
TA Films was the production company who produced Luke’s last four music videos. They always do an incredible job and we always enjoy working with these guys! This is another one for the books!
